LymphStar-Pro Clinical Trial

Practitioner must be trained in the function and location of the lymph system and nodes. Training must also be completed on the proper use of the LymphStar-Pro.

Subject: Sally P.
Patient consulted her physician for swelling, no clear diagnoses was made and no treatment or medication was offered.

Age: 53

Symptoms: Sally came to us with swelling in the neck, abdomen and asymmetry of the breasts.

Assessment: Patient’s assessment form was reviewed with the patient. All questions were addressed.
Therapist palpated under and around her ears and lateral neck. Palpated the supra clavicular fossa, along ribs, breast tissue and abdomen. Palpated for any unusual lumps, masses or pain and none were found.

Treatment:
Sept 15th: manual lymph massage to the neck, supra clavicular fossa and axilla and abdominal area.
Applied the LymphStar-Pro on setting 4 to the neck. One bulb placed under the axilla and the other bulb used in circular motion on bilateral sides of the neck for 6min.
Next: Placed one bulb under the opposite axilla and the other bulb was used to work the opposite breast area for 6 min. Reverse process for another 6 min.
Next: Worked with the LymphStar-Pro on the intercostals area for 6 min each side.
Next: Worked with the LymphStar-Pro in a clockwise motion following the path of the intestinal track.

Results: Marked decrease in swelling in all areas, neck, breast and abdomen. Totally inches lost overall 9.25 within a 24 hour period. Patient reported substantial increase in mobility, comfort and “an overall sense of will being.”

Recommendation:
After the treatment the patient was advised to drink fluid throughout the day. Asked to report any changes in condition. Appointment made for a follow-up in three days.

Sept. 18th: Follow-up Sally P.

Assessment: Upon measurement of neck, breasts, and abdomen the patient has maintain substantial fluid lose. Minimum fluid increase in the breast and abdomen was detected.

Treatment:

Treatments with massage and the LymphStar-Pro continued, twice a week for 4 weeks with a total loss of 11.50 inches.
Patient has maintained the loss for 4 months with bi-weekly treatments.
